Injectables

Injectable treatments are placed into the treatment area to help address various signs of aging.

Dermal fillers are used to add volume under the skin to smooth out unwanted lines and wrinkles and to improve contour for a more youthful appearance. At our office, Dr. Krant offers Juvéderm® Ultra, Juvéderm Ultra XC, Voluma XC, Vollure XC, Volbella XC, and Restylane® brand fillers, among several others. Each is selected personally for you by Dr. Krant depending on your individual needs.

Neuromodulators work by temporarily weakening the facial muscles of expression that cause lines and wrinkles to develop over time. Both Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® are used in the face and neck to smooth unwanted forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines, and to create such effects as the nonsurgical brow lift and lip flip.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are performed to treat wrinkles, skin discoloration, and scars. At Dr. Krant’s office, she mainly uses SkinMedica® peels including the Illuminize Peel®, Vitalize Peel®, and Rejuvenize Peel™ to address a variety of skin concerns. In select cases, Dr. Krant may also use alternate peel formulations. During peel treatments, a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the damaged top layers, revealing a smoother, glowing complexion. Chemical peels can be performed to superficial, medium, and deep levels. Deep peels require general anesthesia and require the most aftercare. Dr. Krant’s in office peels are all superficial peels, which optimizes safety and comfort.

Spider Vein and Broken Blood Vessel Treatment

If you are bothered by spider veins or broken blood vessels due to aging, pregnancy, sun damage, or rosacea, these can be softened with intense pulsed light (IPL) or vascular laser for a boost in confidence. Dr. Krant treats spider veins and broken blood vessels on the face and upper body with Cutera® LimeLight IPL, Excel V®, or VBeam® pulsed dye laser (PDL). For spider veins and broken blood vessels on your legs, Dr. Krant will refer you to a colleague.

Laser Rejuvenation

Laser rejuvenation is used to restore a more youthful complexion by improving the damaged outer layers of skin, stimulating healthy skin cell growth and new collagen formation. Dr. Krant is skilled in a number of dermatologist-approved laser and light-based devices including Cutera LimeLight intense pulsed light (IPL), Excel V and VBeam vascular lasers, PicoSure®, PicoSure® FOCUS™, Clear + Brilliant®, Clear + Brilliant® Perméa, Fraxel® Re:store, and Fraxel® DUAL.

Skin Tightening

If you are noticing lax skin due to the aging process and are looking for a nonsurgical way to improve your skin quality, Dr. Krant sometimes offers skin tightening treatments. SoftWave, Thermitight, Thermage® and Ultherapy® are available in the practice. While some of these technologies use radiofrequency energy to heat and remodel collagen, others use ultrasound energy to achieve a more youthful appearance. Please inquire by phone whether Dr. Krant herself is offering skin tightening at this time. In addition, at your in-person consultation with her for other issues, she will be able to refer you to the appropriate colleague for a skin tightening discussion.

Body Contouring

For both men and women who desire a more shapely or chiseled body appearance, body contouring may be a helpful option. Kybella® can help to improve a double chin, while CoolSculpting® is used to smooth excess areas of fat on the body. Like skin tightening, Dr. Krant only offers body contouring on a rare basis, so please inquire ahead of your visit. If you are seeing Dr. Krant for other issues including skin cancer screening, acne, injectables, peels, or other medical and cosmetic concerns, Dr. Krant will be able to discuss body contouring with you and refer you to a trusted colleague if you choose to pursue treatment.

Excessive Sweating

If you are tired of dealing with excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis, miraDry® can help. This treatment uses electromagnetic energy to eliminate underarm sweat glands for long-term results in one to three sessions by heating the misbehaving sweat glands under the skin surface without injuring surface skin. In addition, MiraDry can be helpful for reducing underarm hair. Make sure to bring unwanted sweating up with Dr. Krant during your consultation.

Cellulite

For individuals who are bothered by the appearance of cellulite, Cellfina™ is the answer. This treatment works by breaking up the tight bands of connective tissue that can produce the dimpling effect of cellulite by pulling the skin down in specific areas. Once released, these connective bands allow the treated skin to bounce back for a smoother look and feel. Dr. Krant is not performing Cellfina currently but can refer you to a colleague if you are interested.
