The Vitalize Peel® by SkinMedica® is a chemical peel that can improve the appearance of skin with noticeable results after just one treatment, with even more dramatic results revealing themselves after three to six sessions.
Vitalize Peel Treatment
This Vitalize Peel works by gently removing the outermost layer of skin cells to achieve a smoother, brighter appearance while reducing discoloration from acne and signs of sun damage. Following your peel, Dr. Krant will provide recommendations for cleansing and moisturizing your skin over the next several days to help you maximize your radiant and youthful-looking results.
Vitalize Peel Benefits
Anyone looking to rejuvenate the tone and texture of their skin may benefit from the Vitalize Peel. This is an excellent gentle treatment option to help improve sun damage and other pigmentation concerns and to improve superficial acne scarring.
Vitalize Peel Recovery & Results
Following your Vitalize Peel treatments, you will notice mild peeling over the next two to three days. As the Vitalize Peel is a stronger superficial peel, it takes a bit longer to complete its cycle than the Illuminize Peel®. After just one treatment, you should see a noticeable improvement in your skin’s appearance, with even more impressive results occurring with additional sessions. To help maintain those same smooth results, Dr. Krant will provide skin care instructions and product recommendations to incorporate into your regular routine.

Am I a Candidate for Vitalize Peel?
The Vitalize Peel is safe and effective for very light to very dark skin tones with mild to moderate skin imperfections. Candidates should expect a small amount of residual peeling post-treatment.
Vitalize Peel Ingredients
Treatment will begin with a prepping and degreasing solution of acetone, isopropyl alcohol, and water which allows the peel solutions to penetrate and activate more evenly. Prep will be followed by the first peeling solution, which contains salicylic acid, resorcinol, lactic acid, and panthenol. The final step of the Vitalize peel is the application of the second and final peeling solution, the vitamin A derivative retinol, which enhances cell health and increases cell turnover. When applied during the chemical peel process, the retinol is able to penetrate more deeply than when applied during your evening skin routine, so it gives a boost to skin health, brightness, and anti-aging.
