VBeam® is a revolutionary pulsed-dye laser (PDL) designed to treat redness caused by rosacea, visible facial blood vessels, and other vascular or pigmented skin imperfections.

The VBeam® Laser Procedure

The VBeam® laser delivers an intense but gentle burst of light to targeted areas of the skin. That light is then absorbed by blood vessels or melanin in the treated locations without harming surrounding tissue, thus offering precise results. To ensure your comfort during the procedure, a cooling spray accompanies the VBeam® laser, and Dr. Krant will supply you with protective eye-wear.

Each treatment session is custom-tailored to match your specific skin care needs and goals, which you can discuss in depth with Dr. Krant during your consultation prior to beginning your first laser treatment.

What Does the VBeam® Treat?

The VBeam® pulsed-dye laser is one of the most effective laser treatment options for improving rosacea, pigmented birthmarks, and visible blood vessels. In addition, the VBeam® may help to treat acne scars, stretch marks, and other skin discolorations.

What Should I Expect?

During treatment, you may experience a warming or tingling sensation, and Dr. Krant may use anesthetics to maximize your comfort, though this may not be required. The area being treated is protected by the laser’s dynamic cooling method, which delivers a cooling mist onto the skin before the laser pulse is emitted. This increases your comfort during treatment, as well as minimizes redness.

VBeam® Results

The results of the VBeam® laser can be permanent, depending on factors like the condition of the skin being treated and certain lifestyle choices, which can be discussed with Dr. Krant during your consultation.

Most people notice significant results immediately after their VBeam® treatment, although multiple treatment sessions may be required, depending on the type and severity of the condition being treated.  After each treatment, you should notice an improvement in your skin’s appearance, with your final results gradually appearing over the next several months.

Am I a Candidate for VBeam®?

If you have a need or desire to improve rosacea, birthmarks, or visible blood vessels, you could be a great candidate for VBeam®. Factors such as the age, type, and severity of the skin discoloration, as well as the location on your body, can influence the best possible treatment method. Dr. Krant will discuss your options and possible results with you at your consultation.
